When designing a playground, what type of plans will I receive?
Arkoma Playgrounds and Supply will provide you with a proposal for your playground, including a 2D plan design, and a 3D color rendering. The 2D plan design details the fall zone space as well as overall site dimensions required to accommodate the play structure. The 2D plan design is available as a CAD file or PDF. The 3D plan design is a color rendering of the play structure, available in a Jpeg or PDF format, where we can show you the front and reverse view of your playground design as well as customize your color choices for the play structure. Contact us today to discuss planning and design services.
How do I determine the clearance zone needed around my play equipment?
The clearance zone needed around your play equipment varies depending on the play structure and its specific components. Most play structures require a minimum of 6′ clearance around the perimeter. However, swings require a larger fall zone, as do many independent or freestanding play items. We can work with you to determine exactly what fall zone is required for your playground equipment. For your play structure design, you will be provided with a 2D plan drawing that will detail the necessary fall zone area.
What are the different playground surfacing options available?
Arkoma Playgrounds and Supply offers several different playground surfacing options including Engineered Wood Fiber, Interlocking Rubber Playground Tiles, Poured-In-Place Rubber, Loose Fill Rubber Mulch, and Artificial Turf Grass. Contact us today to discuss your surfacing options and what surfacing would best meet your needs.
How much does a playground cost?
Because each and every playground and project is unique, pricing varies.
We can only afford a small playground at this time, but I want a large playground. Can I add to it later?
Of course! We have many customers that start small and phase in additional playground equipment as additional funds become available. We can install the small area now and add to it later to achieve the large playground you’re dreaming of. This offers you flexibility in fundraising and the children don’t have to wait to play!
What areas or states do you service?
We provide and install equipment for the entire state of Arkansas. We can also service some areas of Oklahoma and Tennessee for specific product lines. Please contact us for additional information on service areas. If we do not service your area we can definitely refer you to the playground consultant in your area.
